it is about what you learn on the way down."

OUR TEAM

ON A MISSION

MISSION

All people have access to the positive, empowering and healing benefits of yoga and mindfulness based meditation.

VISION

Yoga in ACTion brings yoga and meditation programs to at-risk communities as well as professional development opportunities for yoga and meditation teachers working in these communities.  We specialise in trauma informed practices.

Yoga in Action is dedicated to bringing these transformational practises to at-risk communities, such as prisons, drug rehab clinics, and disadvantaged youth to name a few. We offer community groups, organisations and companies who are committed to supporting social change, a range of programs that will enable personal transformation, build connection and support ongoing development. Our services include:

  • Qualified yoga and meditation teachers

  • One-hour classes on a casual basis or tailored longer term programs

  • We come to you, utilising familiar and safe spaces

We also support yoga and meditation teachers working in at-risk communities through our training and teaching exchange programs.  When we work with an organisation, a portion of our fee goes toward up-skilling teachers to better equip them with tools to support participants who have experienced trauma. We are confident our programs will foster more connected, healed and empowered  communities.
